Like the salmon I returned to where I was born to raise a family.
It was back in 2018 when I got into creating ink drawings for Inktober and carried on for five years. In 2019 I exhibited with the Wallington and Carshalton Art Group. I ran a series of workshops for families in 2020-2021 to enjoy creating art outdoors using natural materials called Art in the Woods and from this I was awarded Arts Council England and National Lottery Project Funding to deliver Art in the Woods for families in 2023-2024.
I made it onto the Bologna Children’s Book Fair Virtual Wall in 2025!
Creative projects that I enjoyed joining in: Folktale Week; The Imagined Book Cover; Book Series Challenge; Comic Book Zines; For Planet Ocean; Japanese woodblock printing; Tiny Tetrapak Prints; 100 Day Project; Childhood Illustrated; virtual travel and wildlife sketching.
I create using different media.
I enjoy the accidental happenings of watercolour, the boldness of ink, the softness of chalk pastel, the texture of oil pastel, and the precision of photography. My favourite tools to create with are ink and watercolour. I don’t really sketch in pencil, I just draw straight with an ink pen! If I’m feeling playful, I love to dip a stick in some ink to create bold and uneven lines... or use some charcoal I have made.
As a wildlife artist, illustrator, photographer, Forest School Leader, outdoor educator and a mother of two wonderful beings, I enjoy nature, wildlife and our little adventures. I have been lucky to glimpse awe inspiring landscapes travelling around the world and bumping into wildlife along the way. As a family we enjoy woodland walks, especially through the changing seasons, jumping in muddy puddles, cartwheeling on sandy beaches and playing Pooh sticks along a river.
